Tribute Symposium to Professor Rubén Ardila

Ruben Ardila Symposium - Organized by Andres Perez-Acosta. 

Professor Rubén Ardila, former President of the International Society for Comparative Psychology (1986-1988), has been a great promoter of basic and comparative psychology in Latin America for several decades.  The purpose of this ISCP 2020 symposium is to offer a tribute to Rubén Ardila, who was also the Honorary President of the ISCP Meeting, Bogotá, Colombia, in 2014. In the first place, Professor Dr. Andrés J. Consoli (University of California, Santa Bárbara) will reflect on Rubén Ardila as a socially committed and internationally engaged scholar. Next, Miguel Gallegos (National University of Rosario, Argentina) and Andrés M. Pérez-Acosta (Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia) will show the intellectual phylogeny of Rubén Ardila: his most important influences, his advisors, and also his disciples at the doctoral level. Finally, Prof. Dr. Germán Gutiérrez (National University of Colombia) will present the facet of Rubén Ardila as an experimental and comparative psychologist.
